PROLINER®

National monument restored through use Proliner®

Fort Pannerden was built in 1869 and became a national monument in 1969. Since 2005 it is part of the New Dutch Waterline. At this moment the old fortress is getting a new destination and hereby it is very important not to damage the old elements and building structure, but to optimize it for the future use. This requires a lot of customization.

Several arched and descending corridors with curves and (because of the old architecture) anything but fl at walls, are provided with a fi reproof door construction with safety glass. This solution requires very precise craftsmanship, partly because the corridors need to be completely closed by the door construction with the guarantee to stop the fi re for at least 60 minutes. A seamless connection is highly desirable.

To produce this precision work with fi reproof protection guarantee, very precise dimensions were needed. The solution was found in Prodim’s Proliner®. Prodim was asked to measure the different corridors on site and to deliver the measurements as .dxf cad fi le. The corridors were measured very simple and highly accurate with the Proliner® and clearly mapped.

The measured corridors were checked on site and worked out with the available cad functions on the Proliner®. The result was a .dxf cad drawing directly ready for production.

Some advantages of measuring with the Proliner® with this measuring job were:
- the large range, so the corridors could be measured at once
- no need to level the Proliner®, which was very helpfull because of the unequal floors
- all the information directly available onsite for verifi cation

Again a very successful measurement for the versatile Proliner®.
